Im Rahmen einer Gedenkveranstaltung zum 80. Jahrestags der Befreiung des Konzentrationslagers Barth und des Kriegsgefangenenlagers Stalag Luft I führt die DOK-Barth mit Unterstützung der Stadt Barth am 9. Mai eine internationale Konferenz mit einem interessanten Programm statt.
As part of a commemorative event marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Barth concentration camp and the prisoner of war camp Stalag Luft I, DOK-Barth, with the support of the city of Barth, is holding an international conference with an interesting program on 9 May.
Die meisten der mehr als 150 Teilnehmenden, viele davon aus dem europäischen Ausland und aus Übersee sind Nachfahren von ehemaligen Kriegsgefangenen und KZ-Häftlingen aus den Barther Lagern während des zweiten Weltkriegs.
Most of the more than 150 participants, many of them from European countries and overseas, are descendants of former prisoners of war and concentration camp slaves from the camps in Barth during the Second World War.
